'ello mates!(you'll get used to that)
I'm a sworn book lover(or worm but the latter is much more appealing) for life! Books are amazing, in the way no matter how wonderful or boring or how much one might make you want to hit your head against a wall(or any hard surface for that matter),they all transport you to another world! You meet a variety of personalities and I guess in a way it helps you to understand people in the real world.I find that reading alot helps you to gain experience for the big wide world out there(outside your room away from your computer).Books are on my escape route, they sure are.
Maybe all my fellow book addicts knows how it feels when a favourite character dies, sometimes we cry our eyes out until the point of dehydration or curl up on our favourite spot staring out into space, quietly mourning.I hate nothing more than to come across spoilers, especially the ones that abruptly punch us in the gut when informing us that our beloved non-existent persons die, as in my case when I learned of Fred Weasely's death on Wikipedia!Well I guess I had that coming, knowing Wiki, they don't take the time to give spoiler alerts.
But other people, the ones too lazy to pick up a book or don't care, basically the people who are missing out on alot, they don't get it!They look at you like you're crazy and shake their heads in your direction. They don't realize how emotionally attached you are to those 'nobodies' from the books.Too bad for them, they're satisfied with their boring life not knowing what adventures are hidden between two covers. You've gotta feel sorry for them, I know I do,but I'm on a mission to get people into reading, that's one of the few things I hope to accomplish during my life.
I love music too!I love Soul, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Orchestra, Classical. No. Rap. For. Me. Uh-uh,nope. No offence but personally, I think it's a noisy collection of trash, unsorted trash with all the plastic ,glass and metal all mixed up together.I absolutely love Paul Mauriat, Neil Diamond, Michael Jackson, Mozart, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, The Police, Men at Work to name a few.
I'm a girl that was kind of isolated like Auden West, from Along for the Ride, I mean I had a social life and stuff but I didn't get to ride bikes much. I'm practically under house arrest without knowing it.But I'm ok for now I've got my trusty books.
There's some more about me but I don't want to be self centered or anything so I wouldn't go on for much longer. I'm also into poetry,I write poems myself.I'm friendly and kind of funny and I like to smile alot and make new friends and talking alot too (you should duck for cover when I raid the coffee bottle). You get the reading part already.Wish I got more chances to ride a bike, I like the feeling it gives me, like flying!
It's up to you what to make of me,if I'm annoying, too talkative, intelligent, a nerd, or a show-off(which I'm certinly not!)
Devina :P
